I’m often asked what made me start Shine Health & Wellness.
The honest answer is simple — it was when my son almost died.
Most people in the health space are still chasing symptoms.
I’m looking at energy.
Mothers are some of the most intuitive healers on the planet. And yet, somewhere along the way, we’ve been trained to forget that.
I see it every day — and to be honest, it frustrates me deeply.
Mindset is powerful.
But it’s not the whole story.
Affirmations aren’t the problem.
The timing is.
There was a very clear moment when everything changed for me.
It was the moment I realised no one was coming to save my son.
There are moments in life when everything you’ve prepared for suddenly unravels… and you’re left standing in the unknown.
But there’s one moment in my professional life that taught me a lesson I will never forget.
When most people think about financial freedom, they picture spreadsheets, strategies, business plans, or the next big idea.
I’ve learned something far more profound.
People often assume confidence is something you’re born with...
But if you had met me in my early years, you would’ve seen a completely different story.
Some transformations stay with you forever.
They don’t just shift the client — they shift you.
There are moments in life that mark you forever.
Moments that split your world into “before” and “after.”
Still inflamed?
Still exhausted?
Still searching?
Walking away from a thriving business was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made.
From the outside, it looked safe.
But inside, something else was rising — something louder than fear.
Here’s the truth most people are never told:
Trauma doesn’t just live in your mind.
It lives in your body.
It lives in your fascia.
In your tissues.
In your cells.
There’s a product many people use every single day — one that looks healthy, smells incredible, and feels harmless.
But the truth?
What if I told you that real energy doesn’t come from another pill, powder, or protocol?
Because here’s the truth I see every day in clinic
Most women I work with don’t come in weak.
They come in drained.
They tell me they’re burnt out — from working too hard, caring too much, pushing through.
If your skincare routine isn’t quietly interfering with your hormones — you’re one of the lucky ones.
Because the reality is this...
For a long time, I thought I had a willpower problem.
I couldn’t focus.
I couldn’t stop stress eating.
I found myself snapping at the people I love — and then feeling guilty about it.
Imagine building your business and your body — at the same time.
Not in isolation.
Not in competition.
But surrounded by women who truly get it.
I built my first business at sixteen.
Not to be a “boss babe.”
Not for anything flashy or aspirational.
I did it to afford textbooks… and aerobics classes.
The girl who was too scared to read out loud in class?
Yeah… she became the face of MTV.
Growing up, I was bullied.
Labelled.
Misunderstood.
After Steve Irwin passed away, someone had to step into his shoes.
That someone… was me.
My son was showing early signs of leukemia.
And the specialist’s advice was simple:
“Wait and see.”
I couldn’t.
High-performing.
Always “on.”
Achieving on paper… yet still exhausted?
This is your wake-up call.
Most people spend their lives stuck in survival mode — overworked, overmedicated, under-rested — and told to just push through. To ignore the signals. To silence the body instead of listening to it.
